A live session series recorded at SoundTrax in Raleigh. Three or four songs, played straight through, filmed as they happen.
What it is
What you play is what goes out.
SoundTrax has been recording since 1976. Red Brick Sessions points fifty years of that experience at a single live performance — a band playing together, in one take, with nothing fixed afterward.
With no overdubs and no punch-ins, placement, bleed and balance all have to land while the band is playing, not after. Getting all of it right in the moment is the job, and fifty years of doing this is why we can.
How a session runs
Half a day, start to finish.

Load in
You arrive, set up, and get comfortable. Engineers handle placement and levels while you warm up.

Play
Three or four songs, live. We roll multiple cameras and capture the room as well as the instruments.

Mix
We mix and cut the session here live. Nothing is overdubbed.

Release
The session goes up here and on our channel. You get the video and the audio to use as you like.
